Windstorm Update:
Gifts made to Valley Medical Center may be designated to particular areas like those below, or given without restrictions for use on the greatest current needs or those which arise unexpectedly. All gifts help Valley provide the kind of support our community needs to stay healthy and safe.
Donate to one of the areas below:
Greatest Need – The fund for Greatest Need provides resources for a variety of needs, including financial assistance for uninsured or under insured patients, patient needs not covered by insurance (prescriptions, medical devices, etc.) and vital projects not covered by other directed funds. Unrestricted gifts provide the flexibility to support the most immediate needs at Valley.
The Birth Center – From a state-of-the-art, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Birth Center that delivers more than 3,000 babies every year, Valley Medical Center faculty and staff provide top-notch care and educational programs that support health for women of all ages. This fund underwrites a broad range of women's health initiatives, including the Birth Center, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and educational programs in women's health.
The Breast Center – A fund specifically to support the center’s goal of helping women defeat one of the most treatable forms of cancer. The Breast Center emphasizes privacy, education and attention in a calm, reassuring and comfortable environment.
The Cancer Center – Your gift will help build a new sanctuary of hope for cancer patients, right here in South King County, saving the need to drive to Seattle. From lifesaving screenings for lung cancer to breast cancer and more, VMC's new Cancer Center will provide patients with a team of specialists who coordinate needed care and develop customized treatment plans all under one roof.
Children’s Services – This fund provides a wide array of support for critical service such as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as well as for outreach services like the Bike Helmet Fitting Program.
Dr Bob Thompson Memorial Fund – Honor Dr Bob Thompson, Valley’s first Clinic Network provider, whose vision and selfless devotion to his patients and our community helped make Valley what it is today. Contributions to this fund celebrate Dr Bob's legacy of caring for our community like family and support future programs centered around community health and outreach. A minimum gift of $50 will also donate a blown glass float to be included in a tribute structure planned for Valley’s Healing Garden.
Employee Giving Fund – Employee-run and managed, this fund selects an area of focus for the year to support a charitable cause close to the hearts of Valley's closest advocates and best ambassadors. Our employees see the remarkable work that happens here every day and use this opportunity to spread those efforts even further.
Healing Garden – The Healing Garden Fund helps make modest additions to and helps maintain the garden as a place of peace and serenity in the center of the hospital environment.
The Joint & Spine Center – Specializing in joint replacement and spine surgery, the Joint & Spine Center at Valley Medical Center provides award-winning care for those suffering from degenerative disease or injury. This fund supports the center's initiatives in patient care and education.
Thank a Caregiver – At Valley Medical Center, our staff members and teams are the cornerstone of the care we provide. They serve on the frontlines every day and are true heroes. This fund recognizes our caregivers for their tireless commitment to care for our community like family.
