RENTON, Wash. – July 8, 2026 – Valley Medical Center today unveiled a new name and logo that reflect the organization's history, values, and vision for the future as it enters its next chapter as an independent public hospital district.
For nearly 15 years, Valley was affiliated with UW Medicine, a partnership that helped strengthen collaboration and advance care for the communities Valley serves. As that affiliation concludes at the end of 2026, Valley is embracing a future as Valley Medical Center & Clinics—a vibrant organization rooted in the strengths, relationships, and spirit that have defined it for nearly 80 years.
"As Washington state's first and largest public hospital district, Valley has always belonged to the community we serve," said Jeannine Erickson Grinnell, CEO of Valley Medical Center & Clinics. "Our new brand identity honors our history while reflecting who we have always been at our core: a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated team committed to caring for our community like family."
More than a visual identity, our new logo symbolizes a belief deeply embedded in Valley's culture: healthcare is delivered by people for people. Physicians, nurses, therapists, environmental services teams, patient access staff, support teams, volunteers, technicians, leaders, and countless others work together every day to provide high-quality, compassionate care.
"Our greatest strength is not a building, a technology, or a brand affiliation," Grinnell said. "Our greatest strength is in 'WE'—the extraordinary people who come together every day with a shared commitment to caring for our community."
Patients can continue to expect the same high-quality care and services they know and trust. Valley's mission, services, providers, and dedication to clinical excellence remain unchanged. Over the coming months, our organization will gradually transition signage, print materials, digital platforms, and other branded items to reflect our new identity, with the goal of completing the transition by January 1, 2027.
Valley Medical Center & Clinics is an independent public hospital district serving South King County and surrounding communities.
