Covington, Wash., October 12, 2021 – MultiCare and Valley Medical Center are partnering to host a virtual town hall, COVID Myths: What You Need to Know, on Tuesday, October 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. The town hall will feature expert panelists from both hospital groups, Dr. Mike Hori, Medical Director, Infectious Disease, Valley Medical Center and Dr. Michael Myint, Physician Executive, MultiCare Health System.

The hospitals are partnering to answer questions about COVID, COVID testing and COVID vaccines and to dispel misinformation and myths about COVID. The session will be held virtually via Zoom and recorded and posted to YouTube for later viewing. The community is invited to participate in the virtual town hall via Zoom at https://valleymed.zoom.us/j/98637804701. Attendees are encouraged to submit their questions in advance here: https://form.jotform.com/212784933290158.

“The past 18 months have taught us a lot about COVID-19. As the virus has evolved, so have we. Frontline caregiver, Mike Hori, MD, Infectious Disease Medical Director at Valley, will talk about his experience, answer questions, address your fears, and help bust some COVID myths,” said Valley Medical Center.

"In today’s fast-paced world, so much information – and misinformation – is accessible online and on television that it can be overwhelming,” according to MultiCare. “Town halls like these create an important, safe space for the members of our community to ask questions and know they’re getting the facts.”

The Covington Chamber of Commerce and Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce are supporting the hospitals in planning the event and promoting it throughout the region.
