Windstorm Update:
David Xinda Wang, MD, started his career as a radiation therapy technician when he was in his early 20’s. He went back to medical school and after graduation, he became a resident of surgical oncology for three years. He received a travelling fellowship from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 1986 and came to this country to learn cancer research. He soon became a PhD student of biochemistry at University of Rochester. He completed his dissertation in the structure and function of cell receptor protein, a critical field in targeted cancer treatment and earned his degree. He passed his US medical license exam and completed his resident training in internal medicine at University of Florida, Jacksonville and fellowship training in medical oncology / hematology at University of Pittsburg. Dr. Wang’s entire career is committed in taking care of cancer patients and saving patients’ life, one at a time.
At his leisure, Dr. Wang has a strong enthusiasm in classical music. He attends concerts and operas regularly and he has a large collection of vintage vinyl records of symphonies and operas. He considers himself a gourmet chef in authentic Chinese cooking. His greatest pride and joy is his daughter who shares the same passion in life with her father and is an executive scientist focus in saving people’s life.
