Valley is impacted by a nationwide shortage of IV fluids as a result of Hurricane Helene. We are watching the situation closely and working hard to conserve available supplies, but because of the shortage, we may need to reschedule non-emergency surgeries or change some of our hospital procedures. We are committed to continuing to give all patients the highest quality of care. We appreciate your understanding and hope to be back to normal operations soon.

Provider Bio

After immigrating from South Korea when I was ten, I spent most of my adolescence in Mukilteo, WA. My desire to pursue medicine solidified in middle school when I had to write a letter to the hospital explaining why my family could not afford a $3000 bill for a short visit to the ER. From then on, I attended University of Washington and received my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Then I worked in the ophthalmology department at Kaiser Permanente Capitol Hill as a technician and a scribe while preparing for medical school. Throughout these endeavors, my desire to serve underserved populations motivated and fueled me to continue.

While studying medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Lebanon, Oregon, I spent my free time fostering the next generation of physicians, especially in populations underrepresented in medicine. I also actively served at my local church as a worship leader. The four years of medical school confirmed my core values of preventative care and long-term, trusting relationships with people, including patients, which made it easy to decide on Family Medicine as my specialty.

Outside of medicine, you can find me at boba shops, new up-and-coming Asian restaurants, tennis courts, or church. At home, I’m usually napping, singing, playing video games/board games, and excitedly yelling at NBA players on TV with my husband and cat, Dooboo.
