David Strand, PhD, CRC, is licensed as a psychologist and is credentialed as a certified rehabilitation counselor. He has experience providing therapy for a variety of psychological concerns ranging from attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD), depression, and anxiety to neurocognitive disorders secondary to traumatic brain injury (TBI), multiple sclerosis (MS), stroke, and epilepsy. His professional interests include neuropsychology, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and helping individuals diagnosed with chronic health conditions successfully adjust, adapt, and engage in ways that are meaningful to them.
Dr. Strand completed a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling from Western Washington University and received his doctorate in rehabilitation psychology from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Center for Neurological and Neurodevelopmental Health in New Jersey with a specific focus in neuropsychology. He went on to complete a post-doctoral internship at the Neurology Vocational Services Unit at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, helping individuals with neurological diagnoses find and retain meaningful work and productive activity. In his spare time, David enjoys woodworking and sailing, and dreams of building his own boat.
