Valley is impacted by a nationwide shortage of IV fluids as a result of Hurricane Helene. We are watching the situation closely and working hard to conserve available supplies, but because of the shortage, we may need to reschedule non-emergency surgeries or change some of our hospital procedures. Allen Sy, MD, is a general internist and hospitalist at Valley Medical Center. He has a special interest in caring for adults hospitalized for non-surgical illness in the acute care and intensive care settings. Dr. Sy is passionate about delivering high quality and evidence-based medicine to all his patients.
Dr. Sy grew up in South Seattle, not too far from Valley Medical Center. He completed all of his training including undergraduate, medical school, internal medicine internship, and residency at University of Washington. In his spare time, he enjoys trying new restaurants, weightlifting, and getting outdoors with his wife and corgi.
