Provider Bio

Joseph Roberts, MD, has a special interest in diseases of the bile ducts and pancreas, in addition to general gastroenterology and hepatology. He believes in partnering with patients and families in order to find medical solutions that empower them through the process of treating disease.

Dr. Roberts grew up in the Seattle area and attended medical school at University of Washington. He traveled to Denver for internal medicine residency at University of Colorado, before returning home for fellowships in gastroenterology and advanced therapeutic gastroenterology at University of Washington. His additional interventional gastroenterology fellowship included training in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), luminal stenting and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). He is board certified in both Internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

When not at work, Dr. Roberts enjoys spending time with his family including his wife and two young children. His hobbies include travel, cycling, snowboarding and amatuer carpentry.
