Robert Nixon III, D.O. serves as a hospitalist at Valley Medical Center, specializing in the care of hospitalized patients. He strives to provide care with compassion for patients and their families utilizing collaboration, teamwork, and communication. Dr. Nixon focuses on individualized medicine and education so patient's can actively participate in their care.
Dr. Nixon received his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Iowa, and received his medical degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency while in the Army in internal medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center where he practiced in FT Bliss before joining Valley Medical Center as a hospitalist in 2026.
When not in the hospital, Dr. Nixon enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 boys in the outdoors. His interests and passions include hiking, biking, cooking, travel and playing tennis.
