Rachel Nginyi-Munyoli, ARNP, is a board-certified adult gerontology nurse practitioner at UW Medicine Valley Medical Center, Neurosciences Institute. She has a passion for developing meaningful relationships that nurture and move patients toward their health goals and needs in a collaborative approach. She also believes in creating a space for significant growth.
Rachel completed her Master of Science in nursing at Texas Woman’s University and her Bachelor of Science in nursing at Western Governors University. She started her nursing career in 2005 and has practiced in several setting including internal medicine, general surgery, bariatric surgery, cardiothoracic critical care, and oncology. One of Rachel’s favorite quotes by Viktor Frankl inspires her philosophy of care: “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that, space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
“As a nurse practitioner, I have been trained to treat the whole person. It is from this lens that I approach every visit. My goal is to create an empowering space for my patients to find their response to health challenges in a way that works positively for them.” In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, volunteering and traveling.
