On April 22 we had a pipe elbow failure in our Emergency Department (ED) causing a significant water leak. Crews are assessing the impact and we are in the process of water abatement. Our ED is open, but several rooms are currently offline which could increase wait times. Some surgeries are also being rescheduled.
Reshad Mahmud, MD, MS, is a rheumatology specialist at Valley’s Renton and Covington Rheumatology clinics. He has a particular interest in autoimmunity-related lung disease, myositis, and systemic sclerosis in addition to general rheumatology.
Dr. Mahmud was born and raised in Southern California and moved east to complete a combined BS/MS/MD degree in leadership in medicine program in upstate New York that provided focus on healthcare economics, quality improvement, and clinical management. Following this, he completed an internal medicine residency program at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he developed his interest in rheumatology and completed a rheumatological fellowship training at University of Pittsburgh. During his spare time, he enjoys visiting national parks, enjoying live music, and exploring new cuisines.
