Provider Bio

As a Washington native, I grew up in Lynnwood. Before medicine, I tutored children at Kumon for 8 years, and taught anatomy classes at the University of Washington. Yet trekking for a summer in rural Nepal learning about poor maternal health swayed me towards population medicine. After college, I worked in clinical research for 5 years. Working with trauma patients at Harborview Medical Center, I genuinely enjoyed connecting with families. I returned to school to pursue my medical degree at Pacific Northwest University in Yakima, WA. Training in Yakima and Mount Vernon allowed me the privilege to work with Yakama Tribal youth, unhoused people, and migrant farm workers. The COVID pandemic further influenced my training and highlighted how family medicine is the backbone of accessible medical care for entire communities.

I became a Family Physician because I love building relationships and meeting people of all ages, from all walks of life. My goal is to empower people with their health and respect their values. I am particularly interested in osteopathic manipulative treatments (OMT), lifestyle medicine, health equity, culturally-diverse care, women’s health, obstetrics, and pediatrics. During my free time, I enjoy Zumba, yoga, volleyball, reading, and hiking with my husband.
