Vicky Lerner is a physical therapist who specializes in Vestibular Rehabilitation; she has been an employee at Valley Medical Center since 1999. She works with people with a variety of vestibular (inner ear) disorders, including – BPPV, vestibular hypofunction/vestibulopathy, vestibular neuritis/labyrinthitis, central vertigo, and other vestibular conditions. She partners with the individual for mutual understanding of their symptoms, medical condition, and goals for treatment. She is a strong believer in providing patient education regarding vestibular conditions. Vicky guides a person through their course of treatment, to reduce or eliminate their dizziness and imbalance and to achieve positive outcomes and a return of function.
Vicky received her competency certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation in 2007 from Emory University and the American Physical Therapy Association. She actively pursues ongoing continuing education in Vestibular Rehabilitation, with over 400 hours completed. Her background is in Neurological Rehabilitation, including the treatment of people with strokes, TBI, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. She received a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Duke University. She received her undergraduate degree, a double major in Biology and Psychology, from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
Vicky lives with her husband in Renton. She enjoys meditation, minimalism, and eating good food.
