Keith Leung, MD, believes that the ideal practice of Hematology/Oncology involves the integration of the current evidence based practices with a personal understanding of the patient and their beliefs and support system. “For a patient, the many unknowns of a diagnosis can frequently be overwhelming and worrisome. It is vital that we help patients and their families understand their condition and their options, and assist them in choosing the one that is right for them.”
Dr. Leung grew up in Michigan and received his bachelor's and medical degree from the University of Michigan. He then obtained his internal medicine training at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Afterwards, he spent time furthering his clinical expertise as an attending physician at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Thomas Jefferson University. His interest in Hematology/Oncology led him to Boston where he completed his fellowship at Tufts Medical Center. The beauty of the Northwest and the opportunity to join the skilled and compassionate team at Valley Medical Center ultimately drew him here.
Dr. Leung enjoys continually learning in his spare time, whether it is the latest medical studies or time-tested cooking recipes. He is fluent in English, Cantonese and basic Mandarin.
