Windstorm Update:
Tajana Kundacina, DO, is a general OB/GYN physician who is passionate about providing holistic care and caring for patients in all stages of their life, from adolescence into the post-menopausal period. Her interests are diverse, including minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, pelvic reconstructive surgery for pelvic prolapse, urinary incontinence, family planning, adolescent health, LGBTQ health and low to high-risk obstetrics.
Dr. Kundacina is trained in minimally invasive da Vinci Robotic surgery, pelvic prolapse surgery, hysteroscopy and pelvic laparoscopy. She treats a variety of gynecologic conditions including abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic prolapse, fibroids, pelvic pain, irregular menstrual bleeding, ovarian cysts and pelvic infections. She also provides preventive care in the form of general gynecologic screening exams, contraceptive management, STI screening and hormone replacement. She is passionate about reproductive health and equality of care, educating patients about their bodies and providing informed care.
Dr. Kundacina was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and grew up in the Seattle area. She is fluent in Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian. She attended University of Washington and received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. After that, she ventured to the Midwest for medical school at A.T. Still University and completed her residency training at Michigan State University. She is board-eligible in obstetrics and gynecology. She is happy to be back in the Pacific Northwest to provide care to a diverse patient population and give back to the community she grew up in. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, skiing, and practicing yoga.
