Ekaterina Knowlton, MD, is an acute care emergency general surgeon with an interest in minimally invasive surgery, critical, and palliative care. Dr. Knowlton is board-certified in general surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is long-standing member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Knowlton’s medical degree was earned at University of Minnesota, and her surgical residency was completed at the University of Washington. Working experience includes both rural and urban settings in Alaska and Washington, staff with the Tacoma Trauma Trust, and teaching faculty with the surgical residents at Virginia Mason St. Joseph Medical Center. Whole-patient care is central to a working philosophy of compassionate, synergistic, straight-forward and outstanding care focused on long term recovery and patient dignity. Outside of work, Dr. Knowlton enjoys hiking, photography, and education.
