Gurpreet Singh Johal, MD, FASN, FACC, FRCPC is an interventional cardiologist who is board-certified in cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, internal medicine, and nephrology. He is an all-encompassing physician who treats patients with cardiac disease and renal pathology, with a particular interest in managing patients who have coronary artery disease, hypertension, and cardiorenal syndrome. In addition, he is an expert operator who specializes in performing complex coronary interventions and peripheral vascular interventions using the latest available technology while maintaining a high regard for patient safety and superior outcomes. Dr. Johal is passionate about his patients and strongly believes in a team approach involving them in their care. He prioritizes the health of his patients while delivering the highest quality of care using a holistic approach to wellness while placing a strong emphasis on eating healthy, routine exercise, stress management, and minimizing the use of medications as much as possible.

Dr. Johal was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, and completed his internal medicine residency at University of Missouri Kansas City, followed by a nephrology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. He then completed his cardiology fellowship at Augusta University at Medical College of Georgia and his terminal training in interventional cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. In his spare time, Dr. Johal enjoys spending time with his family and playing sports. He is a skilled chess player who likes discussing current events.
