Raj Edula, MD, MRCP (UK), received his medical degree from Osmania Medical College, India, following which he completed Internal Medicine training working in several hospitals in England and Scotland and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians.
He came to the United States in 2002 and completed Internal Medicine training at Case Western Reserve University (St Vincent’s Medical Center), Cleveland, Ohio, after which he practiced Internal Medicine and Hospitalist Medicine for seven years in Florida.
He went on to complete a fellowship in Transplant Hepatology at Florida Hospital Transplant Center, Orlando and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Newark, New Jersey. He was on faculty at the medical school for two years as Assistant Professor in hepatology in between the fellowships. Dr. Edula has published original articles in reputed international gastroenterology and hepatology journals and has a special interest in liver diseases and colorectal cancer screening.
Dr. Edula enjoys travelling and tennis with his family and is an outdoor enthusiast.
