Windstorm Update:
Meghann Nelles Dalstrom, MD, is joining Valley from Naval Medical Center, San Diego. She has been practicing vascular surgery since 2012, including open and endovascular surgery as well as nonoperative management of vascular disease, both arterial and venous. Her special interests include endovascular treatment of aneurysms, hybrid approaches to complex arterial occlusive disease, creative solutions to difficult arteriovenous access, and treatment of thoracic outlet syndrome. She believes that communication and innovation combined can allow physicians and patients to work together to select the best treatment plan for each individual.
Dr. Nelles Dalstrom graduated from medical school at Ohio State University, completing general surgery residency at the Wright State University/ Wright Patterson Air Force Base program in Dayton, prior to a one year tour on the USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN as ship’s surgeon. She was then selected for fellowship training in vascular surgery at Scripps Clinic/UCSD, followed by assignment to Naval Medical Center San Diego, where she served as division head of vascular surgery and assistant program director for the general surgery residency.
In her spare time she enjoys running, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and two kids.
