Kalyan Dandala, MD, is a board-certified general psychiatrist, addiction psychiatrist and addiction medicine physician. His practice is focused on treating depression, anxiety, NON-OPIOID Chronic Pain Management, PTSD, OCD, self-medication alcohol and/or drug behavior, acute migraine headaches, and tinnitus. He is passionate about changing the status quo for psychiatric care. Additionally, he and his team of nurse practitioners specialize in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatments for the above diseases. He continues to work with the National Clinical TMS Society to expand TMS treatments to pain, addiction, dementia, autism and other diseases as well as depression and anxiety.
Dr. Dandala grew up in the Midwest and completed his undergraduate degree at University of Arizona and medical degree at American University of the Carribean. After completing psychiatry residency in New York he finished his fellowship in addiction psychiatry at University of Washington in 2008 and has called the Pacific Northwest his home ever since. Over the years he was the medical director for an inpatient detox rehab center, established and outpatient clinic program for Lummi Nation and has grown the largest TMS program in Washington State over the last couple of years. He has several publications and is a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Society of Addiction Medicine, American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and the Clinical TMS Society.
When he is not working Dr. Dandala loves spending time with his two sons and his significant other. Their whole family shares common passions of traveling and being total foodies!
