Tiffany Chen, MD, has a particular interest in caring for vulnerable, seriously ill older adults. She is board-certified in family medicine, geriatrics, and palliative care. Since developing an interest in languages as an undergraduate, she is particularly interested in optimizing communication with patients for whom English is not a primary language, and advocating for equitable care of patients who identify as sexual and gender minorities.
Dr. Chen received a degree in Spanish from Wellesley College, in her home state of Massachusetts. She then went on to medical school at UMass Medical School and then switched coasts to California to complete her family medicine residency at Sutter Sacramento FMRP. She stayed on the West Coast to complete her geriatrics fellowship at University of Washington and then went back to complete her palliative care fellowship at Brown University. Outside of work she enjoys keeping busy with swimming, hiking, crocheting, cooking, rock climbing, and spending time with her partner and her dog.
