Emily Bicknell, CNM, ARNP, DNP, is a certified nurse-midwife specializing in full-spectrum reproductive and sexual health care. With a focus on evidence-based midwifery practices, Emily provides compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals across the lifespan. Her expertise encompasses prenatal and postpartum care, attending births, annual exams, contraceptive counseling, adolescent care, and family planning. Emily is deeply committed to fostering a supportive environment centered around informed consent and shared decision-making, ensuring that her patients feel empowered throughout their health journeys.

Emily is originally from the Pacific Northwest and was born right here at VMC. Emily's journey in healthcare began with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Seattle University in 2021. She practiced for two years with an OB-GYN and CNM collaborative practice in Traverse City, Michigan, where she specialized in both high and low-risk perinatal care. Outside of her clinical work, Emily finds joy in hiking, traveling, taking care of her many houseplants, and hanging with friends and family.
