Your provider may want you to visit a nurse at Valley’s STAR Clinic before your surgery. The preoperative nurse will ask you health questions, perform a basic physical exam and may collect blood or other samples from you. The nurse will also answer any questions you may have. You may be asked to bring information with you to the appointment, including a list of both your prescription and over-the-counter medications, as well as any other paperwork from your provider or surgeon.
If needed, the nurse will arrange for an electrocardiogram (EKG) or any other lab test(s) needed before for your surgery. The nurse will talk to you about your role in your care, both before and after surgery. Your visit with the preoperative nurse will last about an hour.
Free parking is available in the South Tower underground garage, Parking G. See location map.
