Eye Clinic Ending Service July 31

We regret to announce Valley Medical Center’s Eye Clinic will be closing effective July 31. We are grateful to Jeanne Y. Cubanski, MD, Tiffany Hollenbeck, OD, and the entire clinic staff for providing excellent service for our community and all of the patients and families who have entrusted us with their care. Lingering financial impacts from the pandemic and limited capacity to schedule patients were contributing factors to this difficult decision. Continued care for our patients following our last day is important to us. We are assisting current patients with transition of care to other local ophthalmology and optometry programs. Learn how to request a copy of your medical records here.

Ophthalmologists at the Eye Center offer comprehensive exams and specialized care for eye problems relating to a variety of health conditions.

Smoking, hypertension, cholesterol, a bad diet and genetics can all contribute to your risk for eye disorders. High blood pressure, for example, compromises the body’s blood vessels, including those behind the retina. Unchecked, these risk factors can lead to a host of disorders. Macular degeneration, which can inhibit a person’s ability to read or drive, is the leading cause of vision loss or blindness in adults age 65 and older.

The Eye Clinic has limited availability for new patient appointments. They are only accepting new patients who are members of the Valley Health Plan or UW Medicine Accountable Care Network for Boeing.

If calling about a patient concern: The patient must be on the call to confirm their consent to discuss personal medical information, even if you have proxy access for them. Please be sure the patient gets on the line prior to calling our office. This allows us to provide the best assistance for patients and their caregivers. If language support is needed, please ask for an interpreter when you call.
