When you refer a patient to Valley Cancer Services, you're connecting them with a multidisciplinary team that delivers advanced cancer treatment alongside comprehensive support services designed to improve the patient experience from diagnosis through survivorship. Our Commission on Cancer-accredited program brings together medical, surgical, and radiation oncology specialists, nurse navigators, social workers, rehabilitation, nutrition, genetics, supportive & palliative care, and clinical research to provide coordinated, evidence-based care close to home.

Oncology Nurse Navigation

Our Oncology Nurse Navigators serve as a single point of contact for patients and families throughout their cancer journey. They help coordinate appointments, answer questions, provide education, connect patients with resources and facilitate communication across specialties—making complex care easier to navigate while helping patients begin treatment as quickly as possible. Nurse navigators are an integral part of our breast multidisciplinary clinic and many other cancer care pathways.

Oncology Social Work

Valley's licensed oncology social workers provide counseling, emotional support, advance care planning, financial resource guidance, transportation assistance, caregiver support, and connections to community resources throughout treatment and recovery. These services help reduce barriers to care while supporting the whole patient and their family.

Clinical Research

Valley's Clinical Research program helps bring leading-edge cancer therapies closer to home by offering eligible patients access to clinical trials and emerging treatment options. Working closely with physicians and care teams, our research staff helps identify appropriate trial opportunities while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.

Advanced Radiation Therapy

Valley's Radiation Oncology program offers state-of-the-art treatment using advanced technologies that maximize precision while protecting healthy tissue. Available therapies include:

• Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
• Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
• Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
• Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT)
• Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
• Breast, gynecologic and prostate brachytherapy

These highly targeted approaches allow many patients to receive effective treatment in fewer sessions while minimizing side effects when clinically appropriate.

Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Care

Our breast multidisciplinary clinic streamlines care by bringing breast surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology together to develop an individualized treatment plan in a coordinated visit. This collaborative model helps patients move from diagnosis to treatment more efficiently while ensuring every case is reviewed by a multidisciplinary team.

Valley also offers advanced breast radiation options, including:

• Hypofractionated ("short-course") radiation therapy for appropriate patients, reducing the number of treatment visits while maintaining excellent outcomes.
• Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) for eligible left-sided breast cancers, helping reduce radiation exposure to the heart during treatment.

After we open Phase 1B of the Cancer Center later this summer, our Cancer Services team plans to expand the multidisciplinary clinic to other cancer diagnoses.

Infusion & Immunotherapy Center

Valley's Infusion & Immunotherapy Center provides a comfortable, patient-centered environment where individuals receive chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, blood products and other infusion treatments under the care of experienced oncology-certified nurses. Located within our new Cancer Center, the expanded space was thoughtfully designed to enhance the patient experience with private and semi-private treatment bays, natural light, and convenient access to the broader oncology care team—including pharmacists, dietitians, social workers and nurse navigators. By bringing infusion services together with medical oncology and supportive care, Valley helps ensure seamless, coordinated treatment while keeping advanced cancer care close to home.
