As Valley moves forward as an independent healthcare organization, partnerships will play an important role in helping address the growing demand for care across South King County. Earlier this year, we shared information about one of those key partnerships between Valley Medical Center and HealthPoint aimed at expanding access to healthcare services in Kent East Hill. We're excited to share the next step in that collaboration.
On July 13, Valley and HealthPoint will publicly announce that HealthPoint will open a new Kent East Hill Clinic in Valley's former Kent Primary Care Clinic location. The clinic is expected to open in late summer 2026 and will provide integrated primary care, pregnancy and reproductive health services, and behavioral health. Pharmacy and dental services are expected to be added in 2027.
This partnership reflects our shared commitment to improving access to care in one of the areas with the greatest unmet primary care need in King County. Community health assessments conducted by both organizations, along with public health data, consistently identify Kent as a community where additional healthcare services are urgently needed. When fully operational, HealthPoint expects to serve approximately 16,000 patients at the new location.
As part of National Health Center Week (August 2-8), HealthPoint and Valley will be celebrating this partnership by highlighting the importance of these services for the community. More information will be available soon about how patients can schedule appointments with HealthPoint's Kent East Hill Clinic.
Thank you for your continued support as we work alongside HealthPoint to improve access to high-quality, community-centered care for the people we serve.
