Earlier this year, Jeannine shared that as Valley transitions from nearly 15 years of affiliation with UW Medicine, we have the opportunity to embrace a future that is distinctly our own—one rooted in the values, strengths, and spirit that have defined Valley for nearly 80 years. (ICYMI: Watch the video!)
Today, we're excited to share the next step in that journey: on July 8, Valley Medical Center publicly introduced our new logo that is uniquely Valley, reflecting our new chapter as Valley Medical Center & Clinics, an independent public hospital district.

Over the coming months, we'll work together to transition Valley's branding to our new identity, with the goal of completing the transition by January 1, 2027. This work will happen gradually and thoughtfully, including updates to signage, print materials, digital platforms, and other branded items as supplies are replenished and projects are completed. We’ve outlined usage guidelines for our new logo and name in this Brand Kit, which will continue to be updated.
New PowerPoint slide decks, flyer and sign templates, letterhead templates, and email signature standards are now available on the Marketing Sharepoint page.
Logo files are also available. Please refer to the brand guide for logo guidelines. Please DO NOT snip, screenshot, or alter logos, or use them in AI-generated images. For questions on logo usage, email MarketingHelp@valleymed.org.
While our look is evolving, who we are is not. Patients will continue to receive the same exceptional care from the same trusted teams they know and rely on every day. Thank you for helping bring this next chapter of Valley to life. The same spirit that has guided this organization for nearly 80 years is the same spirit that will guide us into the future.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Why are we changing the logo?
As we near the conclusion of our strategic alliance with UW Medicine, we are required to remove their name and brand identity from our signage and other materials by December 31, 2026. We are using this timing to build and transition to a refreshed look that remains true to our mission and values. Our Board of Commissioners and senior leadership felt strongly that the building blocks for our new logo were already in place with our use of “WE Are Valley,” which has supplemented our logo for over a decade and resonates strongly with patients, staff, and our community.
When will signage change?
Facilities will update monument and backlit signage across the hospital and clinics between October and December 2026. Signs that are printed and laminated in clinics and departments will need to be identified and replaced by leaders of those areas, with support from Marketing.
Do clinic names change?
Clinic names will not change, but signage in their locations will. In addition, our corporate identity will adapt to “Valley Medical Center & Clinics”—so make sure to change any VMC abbreviations to VMCC, (or switch to the preferred “Valley.”)
What should I do with old materials?
If you have UW Medicine branded materials that are outdated or no longer needed in your area, feel free to throw it out (or recycle when possible)! If you have old materials that you think should be documented or archived, you can reach out to MarketingHelp@valleymed.org. The Marketing team is also available to help you update materials, and you’re encouraged to use available templates when possible.
How do I request updated templates or a department audit?
Email MarketingHelp@valleymed.org.
I already changed the logo on some of my materials last year. Do I need to change it again?
While we’re working toward eventually having all branded materials using the updated logo, our top priority is removing any mention of UW Medicine. If you have previous materials that use the transition logo from 2025, the original standalone “WE Are Valley,” or past iterations of our logo without UW Medicine, it is okay if those are updated after January 1, 2027.
Will this process be costly? Is there a cost center for rebrand-related expenses?
Updates to our monument and backlit signage will be a significant cost, but this was anticipated with the ending of our strategic alliance with UW Medicine. We will be leaning into the “We Are Valley” brand identity that already existed and will have more time to transition those materials, and we encourage teams to utilize branded templates for materials where possible. These considerations will keep costs more reasonable and will, in many cases, be absorbed into many operational cost centers as the normal cost of updating and reordering materials.
Is Valley pursuing an affiliation with another healthcare organization?
No, the launch of Valley’s new logo reflects our new chapter as an independent healthcare organization. We are involved in and pursuing numerous partnerships with a variety of organizations.
