On April 22 we had a pipe elbow failure in our Emergency Department (ED) causing a significant water leak. Crews are working hard to repair damage as quickly as possible. Our ED is open, but several rooms are currently offline, which can increase wait times. Apologies for any inconvenience you may experience.
We are excited to announce a new pilot with Ambience AI, an ambient documentation solution that listens during patient encounters and automatically generates clinical notes directly within Epic, reducing documentation burden. Rollout began in early May with a small pilot group of ten ambulatory care clinicians. After receiving highly positive feedback from this group, we are in the process of expanding the pilot to an additional 90 pilot providers; these clinicians have already been identified and sent an email to schedule training with Ambience AI.
Ambience works in the background during patient encounters to assist with note generation and coding. No new system to log into, no change to clinical workflows. Here's what that means:
