After Hospital Prop 1 Passage, Focus on Expansion and Infrastructure
With the passing of Hospital Proposition 1, we will be able to focus efforts on aging infrastructure and expansion of primary care and diagnostics. Highlights include:
- Remediation efforts are underway to update aging power, water, sewer, and elevators on the main campus.
- HealthPoint, a Federally Qualified Health Center that specializes in comprehensive primary care, dental, and behavioral health services for the Medicare and Medicaid population, will be subleasing the Kent Clinic to expand access to care.
- On Dec 15, Valley’s Board of Trustees issued 3 calls to bid that will further improve access to care for our community:
- Kent Station Clinic Primary Care Expansion: Adding 10 exam rooms, 1 treatment room, and necessary support spaces adjacent to the existing clinic.
- Lake Wilderness Clinic Expansion: Adding 15 exam rooms, 2 treatment rooms, 6 consult rooms, 6 telemedicine rooms, and necessary support spaces to the 2nd floor of the Lake Wilderness Clinic.
- Diagnostic & Treatment, Phase 6 and 7: This will complete the multiphase demolition and renovation of the second floor of the main hospital to construct new fluoroscopy and x-ray rooms and their associated support spaces.
