New Channel For Reaching the Community: The We Are Valley Podcast

8/19/2024

Valley’s Marketing & Outreach team is excited to share a new way to share health information and guidance with the community, build exposure for various service lines, and share some of the incredible work happening across our organization. The We Are Valley podcast launched earlier this year and has been gradually building exposure. It’s available to stream on most podcast platforms.

Our most recent podcast episode, “All About Hernias,” was an enlightening discussion with Wayne Lau, MD, general surgeon, about identifying hernias, treatment options, and what hernia surgery is like. You can listen to Dr. Lau’s episode and others here.

Podcasts are an increasingly popular way people consume health content because of their accessibility and reach. They provide a valuable platform for clinicians to share their expertise and insights directly with the public. By discussing topics relevant to their field, clinicians can demystify complex medical issues, clarify misconceptions, and offer practical advice.

Do you have an idea for a podcast that can share health information or offer insight into your clinic or service line? We’d love to work with you! Email MarketingHelp@valleymed.org. This is a great option for those who have busy schedules or don't want to be on camera. Recording can take place remotely, as well as in person, and typically takes less than an hour. Podcast episodes usually publish within 2-3 weeks and are a great way to give potential patients insight to what it's like to work with you!

We also can work with you to produce written and video pieces that will reenforce you as a subject matter expert and give potential patients more opportunities to get to know you. Valley has a robust YouTube library that covers a lot of different health topics, and we're always looking to add more! These types of content are a bit more hands on and sometimes need a higher time commitment but are all excellent option for those who have a real passion for using stories and examples to explain more complex topics.
