Sports Medicine Clinic Update
Which conditions does the Sports Medicine Clinic treat?
At the Sports Medicine Clinic we are dedicated to keeping patients active and will work with them to keep them moving. Our clinic specializes in the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal conditions, including:
- Acute injuries to muscles, tendons and bone
- Stable fractures of the wrist, hands, fingers, ankles, feet and toes
- Chronic musculoskeletal injuries such as rotator cuff tendinosis, tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy, runner’s knee, and greater trochanteric bursitis
- Arthritis of knees, hips, shoulder and other joints of the extremities
- Sports concussions and accompanying care management
What treatments are included at the Sports Medicine Clinic?
- Ultrasound-guided needles for joint, tendon sheath and carpal tunnel injection
- Hyaluronic acid injections for knee arthritis when other conservative measures are not providing enough relief
- Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections for arthritis or tendon and muscle injuries
- Osteopathic adjustment for back/pelvic, sacral pain for pregnant patients (Dr. Ashbaugh)
What conditions and treatments are NOT included at the Sports Medicine Clinic?
Treatment for chronic neck and back pain are not offered at our clinic. We also do not offer injections for arthritis in the back or neck. Patients seeking care for chronic neck and back pain would be better served by VMC Physiatry Neurosurgery or Proliance Orthopedics.

Where is the Sports Medicine Clinic located?
The clinic is on the main VMC campus in the Valley Professional North Building, shared with Cascade Primary Care.
