The Rheumatology Clinic at Valley has expanded patient access, with the recent addition of newest provider, Deepa Gali. They are also able to accept transfers of care from other rheumatology specialists, as well as patient self referrals, as described below.

Here is a complete list of the conditions treated at the clinic, and the few that are not in scope.

Conditions accepted by patient self-referral (within terms of patient’s insurance):

• Swelling in a joint lasting two weeks or longer or new onset of swelling in multiple joints, without fever or signs of infection
• Back pain for longer than one – two months, if you are under age 40 and it’s not related to injury
• Evaluation of osteoporosis or Raynaud’s
• Repeated episodes of uveitis or plantar fasciitis
• Gout
• Previous diagnosis of rheumatic diseases and transferring care from another rheumatologist (patient records are requested prior to scheduling)

Conditions requiring referral or notes from referring providers

• Chronic back pain in patients > 40 years
• Numbness/tingling
• Abnormal labs
