Dani Dutro, LMHC

July 2021 Provider of the Month

Congratulations to Dani Dutro, LMHC, a psychotherapist at Valley's Psychiatry & Counseling Clinic and our July 2021 Provider of the Month. Since the pandemic began, Dani has managed a full caseload of psychotherapy patients at the clinic in addition to going above and beyond to support Valley employees. During the initial months of the pandemic, she had a scheduled presence in the Emergency Department and the Critical Care Unit where employees as well as leadership could talk with her about the stress and/or trauma they were experiencing.

Throughout the year, Dani has provided in-services and presentations on resilience, dealing with trauma, and burnout to various clinics and departments. When there have been adverse events such as the sudden death of an employee, Dani has volunteered her time to provide emotional support to those teams. Dani has also willingly volunteered to talk with numerous VMC employees who have called the clinic to request an off the record emotional support conversation with one of our psychotherapists. Her skills as a psychotherapist, as well as her experience working with trauma, are a great asset to Valley's patients and employees.
