The Desimone Levee on the Green River failed and is under repair. The hospital is above the flood zone and currently in no danger of flooding. We evacuated our Time Square and Kent Station Clinics and our Lind Avenue locations. Several locations are experiencing staffing issues due to severe traffic impacts. Impacted patients are being contacted to reschedule appointments. Please be safe, do not drive or walk through standing water, and call 9-1-1 if you need emergency evacuation assistance.

CDC Revises Definition of Close Contact to Reduce Spread of COVID-19

The CDC recently updated its guidance to help further reduce spread of COVID-19. Instead of a 15-minute block of interaction time within 6 feet, it has been revised to 15 minutes CUMULATIVE over a 24-hour period within 6 feet. Five minutes here and there can add up really quickly. Please wear a mask when interacting with anyone other than immediate family who are within 6 feet of you. This becomes extremely challenging during the holidays this year as many of us are accustomed to large, festive gatherings. Infection Prevention at Valley has put together these helpful tips for how to celebrate safely during the holidays:
