The Desimone Levee on the Green River failed and is under repair. The hospital is above the flood zone and currently in no danger of flooding. We evacuated our Time Square and Kent Station Clinics and our Lind Avenue locations. Several locations are experiencing staffing issues due to severe traffic impacts. Impacted patients are being contacted to reschedule appointments. Please be safe, do not drive or walk through standing water, and call 9-1-1 if you need emergency evacuation assistance.

Informatics Update – eConsult Orders to Dermatology

6/21/2020
Author: Clinical Informatics

eConsult orders to Dermatology are now available for primary care providers. eConsult orders allow the primary care providers to communicate with a specialist for advice regarding a patient’s chart through Epic In Basket messages. This feature gives the PCP easier access to specialists’ expertise, helping them provide better care and reducing the need for patients to travel or wait for an appointment to see the specialist. Patient photos should be included in the eConsult order when appropriate. The specialist responds to the PCP via In Basket with their treatment recommendation or a referral request when necessary. Below is a link to a training video about eConsults.
