Diagnostic Tests & Screening: Encouraging Your Patients to Not Delay

Author: Provider Outreach

Understandably, some patients are putting off screening and diagnostic testing right now. This is not isolated to Valley and is due to a variety of factors, including fear and anxiety, confusion and concerns about coming to healthcare facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Patients want to know they are safe and need reassurance that our teams are doing everything possible to protect them, not only from COVID but also from other illnesses and disease processes that may have worsened over the past three months.

When discussing scheduled screenings such as mammograms or colonoscopies, or other diagnostic tests please take a moment to talk about the risks of delaying care and address any questions or concerns they might have about scheduling now. For a quick reference of the practices Valley is following to keep patients safe, listed here.
