Focusing on the "I" in LGBTQI+: An Introduction to Intersex Healthcare

Friday, April 10 at Swedish First Hill, Swedish Medical Center Fourth Annual LGBTQI+ Symposium

Swedish Medical Center’s Fourth Annual LGBTQI+ Health Symposium will focus on the care for the “I” in LGBTQI+: Care for the Intersex population. Variations of sex development are very common, yet are not very well known or understood in the medical community. This conference will review the natural human variations in sex development within the Intersex community and enhance the ability for providers to provide appropriate medical care. Lectures and roundtable panels will also discuss psychosocial needs and collaborative care approaches throughout the lifespan of care for Intersex patients to improve health outcomes.
