  • Provide updates on current evidence and guidelines for management of peripheral vascular disease, with an emphasis on peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, carotid stenosis, and venous disease.
  • Discuss important practical considerations in the workup and management of peripheral vascular disease.
  • Review the vascular surgery program and resources at VMC.

2. What Every Provider in South King County Should KnowAbout Stroke

Michael Previti, MD, Neurology

  • Understand the stroke risk factors in your patient population.
  • Understand what evidence-based acute stroke treatment looks like (hint: what we do here at Valley).
  • Understand how best to triage acute, subacute, and chronic stroke patients from your clinic.
  • Understand how we (PCPs, neurohospitalists, stroke clinic providers) can best help each other reduce our patients’ secondary stroke risk.

3. Visual Recognition and Initial Management of Common Dermatoses

  • Review the morphology and distribution of common skin diseases
