New Ambulatory Care Pathway: Chronic Opioid Care
The Chronic Opioid Care Pathway was updated to ensure compliance with the new Washington State law that went into effect in January 2019. The updated recommendations include:
•Use of PEG questionnaire for pain and functional assessment
•Use of Opioid Risk Tool (ORT) for determining risk of opioid abuse
•Risk stratification approach
•Follow-up frequency
•Tapering strategy
