Valley has a robust community outreach program aimed at engaging with the people we serve outside the walls of our hospital and clinics. From our Rotacare Free Clinic for the most vulnerable community members, a speaker’s bureau for requested topics, free screenings and medical coverage for select events, our community outreach teams provide valuable information about prevention, wellness and medical conditions. We focus on education while also having fun and building relationships with the diverse populations across our service area.
Here are some upcoming events this summer where you can volunteer. We hope you’ll have interest in getting involved every once in a while!
Dinner with a Doc: Care Outreach at Rotacare Free Clinic in Renton, once a month for 2 hours. Interact with those who need us most, provide medical screening and help build a trusting relationship.
Be the Hope Walk benefitting Valley’s new Cancer Center and Seattle Children’s on July 20, in Maple Valley. We’ve been asked to provide medical coverage during the event in partnership with Medic One and Maple Valley Fire Department.
Tukwila Pride on June 15 is a great opportunity for providers skilled in LGBTQ+ care to engage with our community.
Speaking in the Community: If you have a topic of interest you’d like to speak onin the community let us know. We often get requests from local community organizations and always work to showcase our exceptional Valley providers whenever possible.
