    Biography

    Dr. Chen was raised in New York State. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, he moved back to New York to attend medical school at SUNY Stony Brook. He went on to complete his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New-Haven Hospital. Since then he has been at Stanford University Medical Center, where he completed a clinical fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as well as a fellowship in Sleep Medicine.

    Dr. Chen is Board-Certified in Sleep Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine. He serves as co-Medical Director of the Sleep Center at Valley Medical Center and has a special interest not only in all aspects of adult sleep medicine, but also narcolepsy and pediatric sleep disorders. 

    Dr. Chen enjoys living on the west coast and looks forward to being in the Puget Sound area. His interests include music, tennis, and other outdoor activities.

    Biography

    Dr. Krell graduated from Case Western University in Ohio with a major in biomedical engineering. She earned her medical degree from Washington University in Missouri and completed her internal medicine residency at Duke University. In 2003, Dr Krell completed her fellowship training in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at the University of Washington. Her research interest was investigating the interactions between insomnia disorders and sleep apnea.

    Dr. Krell spent a year working as a pulmonary specialist in New Zealand, where she helped develop a sleep medicine program. She joined Southlake Clinic in 2004 splitting her time between hospital duties as an intensive care physician and clinic work in sleep and pulmonary medicine. In 2005 she took on the role of Co-Medical Director of the Sleep Center at Valley Medical Center. Dr Krell has a special interest in women's sleep health and early recognition and treatment of sleep apnea in individuals with or at risk for heart disease.

    Dr Krell is happily settled in Renton with her husband and two small children. In her spare time she remains active with soccer and running and enjoys travel and reading.

    Dr. Nunez was raised in Reno, Nevada and completed her undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at Stanford University. She received her medical degree at the University of California-San Diego and completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas-Southwestern in Dallas. She returned to the West Coast for her fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Washington. She is board-certified in Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine.

    Her clinical experience includes working as a primary-care physician in an underserved community and as an internal medicine hospitalist in Tacoma. She joined Southlake Clinic in 2003 and is currently Medical Director of Respiratory Therapy at Valley Medical Center. She enjoys all aspects of pulmonary medicine and sleep disorders.

    Biography

    Dr. Park is originally from Michigan and graduated from Cornell University as a chemical engineer. After a change in career direction, he returned to Michigan to attend the University of Michigan Medical School. From there he did his residency in Internal Medicine at Boston University and Boston City Hospital. Trading snow for rain, he moved to Seattle, where he completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Washington. His clinical interests include the management of COPD, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, asthma, sarcoidosis and all aspects of sleep disorder medicine.

    Dr. Park joined Southlake Clinic in 2001. He has been the Co-Medical Director of the Sleep Center at Valley Medical Center, Medical Director for Respiratory Care at Valley Medical Center, Co-Medical Director of the Critical Care Unit as well as a member of Valley Medical Center's Executive Committee. He is board-certified in Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine, Sleep Medicine and Internal Medicine. He has also been listed in "Seattle's Best Doctors."

    Biography

    Dr. Wall was born and raised in San Francisco. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University (Washington D.C.) and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN). After residency, he remained at Vanderbilt as Chief Resident, spent two years studying quality improvement with the VA National Quality Scholars Program and obtained his Master of Public Health degree. He returned to the West Coast in 2003 to complete a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Washington.

    Dr. Wall has expertise designing and leading large quality improvement initiatives in healthcare settings. He is especially interested in developing novel strategies to improve the care of critically ill patients in the intensive care unit.

    Dr. Wall joined Southlake Clinic in 2007. He is board-certified in Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care and Sleep Disorders Medicine. He is Medical Director of the Critical Care Unit at Valley Medical Center.
